Complex Trauma Therapy
In Austin, Texas
With Taylin Ramirez
For 20 years, I’ve worked with adults and children navigating complex trauma and how it carries into everyday life. This is my specialty and I know how traumas ripple across a lifetime and generations.
Do you feel on edge even when nothing’s wrong?
Do you wonder why your reactions feel bigger than the moment?
Some nights you might have trouble sleeping or feel stuck in cycles of anxiety. You may notice anger come out of nowhere or feel constantly alert. Trusting others can feel hard, even when you want connection. Part of you just wants to feel calm, but your body doesn’t let you.
Trauma is not just what happened. It is also how your body learned to protect itself after.
Clients Come To Me With:
Panic attacks
Trouble sleeping
Unexplained anger
On edge feelings
Extreme caution
Isolation
Trust issues
Doomscrolling
If this feels familiar,
your nervous system may still be in survival mode.
How Complex Trauma Therapy With Me Works
“We focus on the body first, because that’s where trauma lives.”
In our work together, you will start to notice what’s happening in your system and learn how to respond to it differently. We slow things down so you can recognize your patterns, understand your triggers, and begin to feel more in control.
Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded. We’ll work through what’s happened, but we will also build skills so you’re not stuck reliving it.
Modalities I Use
-
Works directly with your nervous system so you feel safer and more regulated in your body.
-
Understand different parts of yourself to reduce inner conflict and build self-trust.
-
Builds awareness of thoughts and sensations to reduce reactivity and increase control.
-
Focuses on present moment awareness to help you process emotions as they come up.
-
Builds practical steps forward so you create change in daily life.
“Healing is not about being perfect.
It’s about being willing to learn and grow.”

About Taylin Ramirez
My therapy is shaped by both professional experience and personal understanding of trauma. The tools I teach and the compassion I offer are not just professional, they are personal. I understand what it feels like when your mind won’t slow down, and how empowering it is to learn skills that help.
Sessions with me are casual and conversational. I sit cross legged on the ground half the time. You can swear if you need to. We will talk about hard things, but we will also laugh. I focus on building a real relationship with you, because therapy works best when it feels human and collaborative.
Outside of therapy, I love camping, cooking without recipes, and playing board games like Mysterium. My 7 year old schnoodle, who is a certified therapy dog, may pop into sessions.
Availability: I work with individuals in person in Austin, and via telehealth across Texas.
