About Me
Taylin Ramirez
I’ve spent the past 20 years helping people understand how their past shows up in their present, relationships, bodies, and day-to-day lives.
My work is grounded in both professional and lived experience. I live with an autoimmune condition, and I know what it is like to navigate pain, identity shifts, and feeling misunderstood. I have also supported others as a caregiver, so I understand both sides of that dynamic.
Therapy with me is about understanding your patterns and learning how to change them in a way that actually sticks.
You don’t need to keep repeating the same cycles or feeling stuck in your body or your life.
Availability: I work with individuals in person in Austin, and via telehealth across Texas.
My Approach
Sessions with me are casual, conversational, and real.
I sit cross legged on the ground half the time. You can swear if you need to. We will talk about hard things, but we will also find moments to laugh. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship, not expert and patient.
We will get to know each other as people. Together, we’ll look at what’s happening in your life, understand where it comes from, and build ways to respond differently.
I focus on helping you feel more connected to yourself, more aware of your patterns, and more able to move through life with clarity.

My Background
For as long as I can remember, I have been the empathetic friend. I was the one who could see both sides of a story. I listened without judgment. I offered encouragement, comfort, and honest feedback.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education with students from pre-kindergarten through college, and my background as an educator shaped how I see people. I believe we are always learning. We are always evolving. No matter your age or stage of life, you’re still becoming the best version of yourself.
Because of that, I encourage grace for yourself and for others. Healing is not about being perfect. It is about being willing to learn and grow.
My counseling philosophy mirrors my personal philosophy. I believe change is possible when we understand our patterns, learn new skills, and practice them in real life.
Outside Of Sessions
I live in the Austin area and spend a lot of time outdoors camping or with family. I love cooking without recipes and playing cooperative board games like Mysterium.
My 7-year-old schnoodle is a certified therapy dog and tends to make appearances in sessions. He is a little codependent, we are working on it.
I used to live abroad in Lisbon and Barcelona, and many of my close friends still live overseas.
